Change in management: Paul Infanger leaves RUAG Technology

Paul Infanger, Vice President of Aerostructures in Emmen and member of the RUAG Technology Division Management Board, has decided to leave the RUAG Group with immediate effect. His successor is Heinz Wüthrich, a qualified mechanical engineer and production engineer.

RUAG's strategy since 2009 has been to focus Aerostructures on high-quality, profitable special products and niche applications, and to limit the risks to the RUAG Group as a global supply chain participant. While Aerostructures in Oberpfaffenhofen has now returned to profit, Aerostructures in Emmen is still in the turnaround process. The site is subject to high pressure from competitors, exchange rates and structural cost disadvantages related to the location.

Qualified mechanical engineer and production engineer Heinz Wüthrich (60) has the task of making Aerostructures in Emmen profitable in the long term within the scope of the Group's ongoing strategy. Mr Wüthrich has a wealth of project management experience gained at various technology and industrial companies, and of management in an international environment.

The Executive Board would like to thank Paul Infanger for his commitment and wishes him all the best and every success for his future. Paul Infanger joined RUAG in 1988 as a metalworking apprentice, became Head of the Component Assembly Centre in 2001 and has managed Aerostructures in Emmen since 2008.
