We develop wearable exoskeletons that support workers in physically demanding tasks. Our products reduce the strain of work to ensure workers’ long-term well-being.

At Auxivo, we are constantly working on new industrial exoskeleton solutions to reduce the burden of work in different industries and applications. The intensive use of rapid prototyping allows us to quickly implement and test new ideas.

We measure the user's physical relief early on in the development phase through extensive scientific analysis in our biomechanics laboratory. All of our exoskeletons are developed in close collaboration with end users to ensure that the result is truly suitable for everyday use.

Work burden reduction

The LiftSuit’s ability to relieve the physical burden on the user was quantified in a series of experiments in the biomechanics laboratory.

Daily, physically demanding work is the job of many millions of workers around the world.

In factories, warehouses, emergency response, maintenance, construction sites, and many other settings, workers regularly perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and carrying heavy objects.

Over a long period of time, this heavy workload often leads to exhaustion and injury.

These, in turn, often lead to long-term absences due to illness and a reduced ability to work.

To alleviate these problems, Auxivo AG, a spin-off of ETH in Zurich, is developing wearable exoskeletons that relieve the musculature, joints and cardiovascular system of their users. This reduces fatigue as well as the risk of injury.

Our exoskeletons provide lightweight and versatile relief. Unlike existing solutions, they can be used anywhere and at any time. They provide targeted support for their users during strenuous work processes and do not require any installation effort or additional infrastructure.

We currently have two systems on offer. Our LiftSuit, a lightweight (0.9 kg) textile exoskeleton that supports the back and hip muscles when lifting objects or working in a forward-leaning position.

Measurements in the biomechanics laboratory have shown that the LiftSuit can reduce the strain on the back and hip muscles by 20% to 40%.

Our CarrySuit is an upper body exoskeleton that transfers the weight of a load to the user's hips, protecting joints such as the elbows, shoulders and spine.

Measurements have shown that using the CarrySuit while carrying heavy loads reduces the strain on the cardiovascular system by around 20% and on the upper body muscles by up to 90%.
