Duration

Your apprenticeship will last four years. During this time, you will learn everything you need to know to become an electronics technician.

Skills

For this apprenticeship you will need a strong command of mathematics and physics. You should also have a good understanding of abstract contexts and technology and be able to think analytically.

Future opportunities

The following options are available to you after completion of your apprenticeship with us: Industrial Foreman HFP, Technician HF Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Electronics technician EFZ [Swiss certificate of competence]

Every iPhone, every Playstation and every motor scooter contains a multitude of electronics. And it is one of the tasks of electronics technicians to manufacture such devices and systems. They also program and develop novel solutions. As you can see, this profession drives technology in a fundamental way.

Electronics technicians are the reason it all works: Only by means of electronics you can, for example, make a phone call via the Internet or send an SMS. Even if you don't always see it: Almost every product in this world functions thanks to the work of electronics engineers.

Electronics technicians manufacture electronic devices and systems. They always work together with engineers. In addition, electronics technicians have an overview of exciting manufacturing processes and are at the forefront when it comes to technical innovations. Your job at RUAG therefore makes a significant contribution to the advancement of technology.

What we offer you

Your training includes finding solutions and programming. Other tasks include the layout of printed circuit boards, soldering, and measuring and checking.

What you should bring with you

You have completed compulsory school at medium or high standard with a very good performance in mathematics and physics. You convince us with your understanding of abstract contexts, analytical thinking, technical know-how and interest in new technologies. In addition, you are patient, work with precision and can imagine things well spatially.
