Switzerland’s sovereign security is and remains RUAG’s raison d’être. The company also derives its understanding of sustainability from this: With clear standards, secure systems, and future-proof jobs, RUAG assumes responsibility toward society, toward its main customer, the Swiss Armed Forces, and toward the Swiss Confederation as its sole shareholder.
RUAG made further progress in the 2025 reporting year. In addition to the fact that the company has sourced all its electricity from renewable sources since 2021, RUAG is continuing to expand its photovoltaic infrastructure and driving forward decarbonization. The Swiss Army’s technology partner is also on track with CO2 reduction.
An ESG assessment conducted for the first time across the supply chain also highlighted the areas where RUAG is well-positioned and where data, transparency, and processes can be further improved.
The company makes targeted investments in training and continuing education, fosters a culture of respect and appreciation, and is committed to fair working conditions. The confirmed pay equity certification underscores this commitment.
