Maintenance capacity for helicopter components

RUAG is strategically targeting new markets in the helicopter sector and investing in optimizing the maintenance of dynamic components. The upcoming investments in the future of the dynamic component workshop at the Alpnach site will improve the ability to plan, adherence to schedules and reliability of maintenance work.

At the Alpnach site, RUAG will strategically adapt to changing customer needs in the helicopter sector. The overhaul of dynamic components for the Super Puma, AS332 and AS532 MKI is one of the core competencies at this location. Improving throughput times in the component shop and the availability of spare parts needed at short notice are success factors for ensuring the shortest possible delivery times. By optimizing internal processes and ensuring the availability of exchange parts and components, this key requirement can be met even better in the future. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new rotor blade shop took place on February 11, 2022. From the end of summer 2022, the building will be ready for rotor blade maintenance.

This investment in the future of the dynamic component workshop will have tangible benefits for RUAG’s customers in terms of ability to plan, adherence to schedules and reliability of maintenance work.

Military, government and civil helicopter operators worldwide rely on RUAG’s expertise and benefit from a comprehensive portfolio of services. The group is investing in optimizing its existing “in house capabilities according to EASA Part-145” in the field of I and D level maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft, helicopter airframes, engines and dynamic components.

The operational readiness of the helicopters is the key to every successful rescue mission. There is simply no room for compromise. In order for helicopter operators to be able to fulfil their tasks and requirements, they need high-performance systems that are ready for use at all times. As a first-class technology partner to security organizations, RUAG guarantees maximum availability throughout the entire life cycle.
