Scurity incident at RUAG's American subsidiary

RUAG MRO Holding Ltd. is aware of a cybersecurity incident affecting its liaison office in the United States. The incident is currently being professionally investigated and appropriate measures have been taken. The compromised IT infrastructure cannot be used to connect to systems or data in Switzerland or to other companies belonging to RUAG MRO Holding Ltd. Based on current information, no particularly sensitive data relating to employees in Switzerland has been affected.

The security incident involves a ransomware attack on RUAG LLC, a subsidiary of RUAG MRO Holding Ltd. Due to the self-sufficiency of the IT systems used there, the incident is isolated and has no impact on other systems within the RUAG Group.

RUAG LLC in the US state of Virginia employs eight people who ensure communication with American institutions, suppliers, and partner companies. 

The security incident can be traced back to a known, internationally active group that has also compromised numerous other companies based in Switzerland and around the world in recent months.
