The Ground Business Area at the Thun site is undergoing a reorganization due to insufficient capacity utilization. This is primarily due to a lack of customer orders. As part of the planned adjustments, ten positions will be eliminated.
Organizational adjustments are also taking place in the IT division. Various activities will be outsourced in the future, particularly to the Federal Office for Information Technology and Telecommunications (BIT). The goal is to make service delivery more efficient and eliminate existing duplicate structures. As a result of this measure, 23 positions will be eliminated in the ICT division.
Employees affected by job cuts will receive the best possible support under RUAG’s social plan. Among other things, this plan provides for extended notice periods, outplacement assistance, and ongoing support.
