RUAG Ltd steps into the future with a new identity
25.06.2020, As of today, 25 June, RUAG Ltd, which has been unbundled from the RUAG Group since 1 January, is shedding its previous "RUAG together ahead" logo and starting its independent future with a new identity. The new "Security matters" claim describes RUAG Ltd's motivation and goal of making a significant contribution to security in our country.
Safran Helicopter Engines extends contract with RUAG
15.06.2020, RUAG and Safran Helicopter Engines have extended until 2021 their contract for maintenance of the fuel control units of the Makila engine powering the Super Puma helicopter. Close partnerships with original equipment manufacturers such as Safran Helicopter Engines enable RUAG to have a constant availability of resources to provide high-quality services and thus ensure the performance of helicopters.
RUAG Ltd expands its service for the Air Force in Payerne
04.05.2020, In collaboration with the Swiss Air Force, RUAG Ltd has begun working on the construction of a new location on Payerne’s military airfield. In doing so, RUAG Ltd creates 12 new jobs in the region.
Helicopter successfully repurposed for COVID-19 patients
02.04.2020, RUAG has recently modified the EC 635 helicopter model for COVID-19 patients. For this time-sensitive project, RUAG, armasuisse and the Air Force are working together on suitable solutions for protecting both pilots and patients to the greatest possible extent. Two helicopters have already been modified and are ready for use by the Air Force.
Royal Netherlands Air Force renews maintenance contract with RUAG MRO Switzerland
13.03.2020, RUAG MRO Switzerland has been awarded the publicly tendered maintenance contract by the Royal Netherlands Air Force for its PC-7 training aircraft. The award underlines RUAG MRO Switzerland’s expertise as a competent, efficient partner in the field of life cycle management of propeller aircraft.
RUAG offers new training courses for Maintenance Check Flights
15.01.2020, EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) has re-regulated the inspection flights after maintenance work, so-called Maintenance Check Flights (MCF). Therefore, many helicopter operators are obliged to train their crew for check flights. RUAG has optimized its course offer for MCFs and provides operators and maintenance facilities with tailor-made solutions.
