Modern deployment scenarios for crisis intervention and national defense are complex and require flexibility and speed. The demands on the mobility of systems have risen sharply. RUAG develops and manufactures 20-ft containers for mobile command post shelters, medical systems and support infrastructures that can be quickly transported by truck to any place of deployment, even through difficult terrain.

In the 2024 business year, RUAG Real Estate was once again able to utilize its full range of expertise. On the one hand, it had to steadily reduce the existing maintenance backlog. On the other hand, RUAG's Real Estate specialists were able to start new construction projects and put the new buildings into operation. Last but not least, RUAG Real Estate pushed ahead with the further development of the emmen site, which is crucial for the future.

We are investing at our site in thun so that we are optimally equipped for future tasks. As of today, 25 June, RUAG Ltd, which has been unbundled from the RUAG Group since 1 January, is shedding its previous "RUAG together ahead" logo and starting its independent future with a new identity. The new "Security matters" claim describes RUAG Ltd's motivation and goal of making a significant contribution to security in our country.

The RUAG Innovation Forum took place on the premises of Switzerland Innovation Park in Biel/Bienne. Due to the pandemic, the first two RUAG Innovation Forums took place with restrictions. This year's event is the first one to take place in its entirety.

RUAG is entering into a strategic partnership with the international company Virtek Vision International Inc., a market leader in laser positioning systems. The aim is to bundle the skills and expertise of both companies, in order to offer an even wider range of products and services.
