I value the many different challenges in my job. The diverse mix of activities makes my work exciting and enriching. I particularly like the fact that we, as a team, create genuine added value for employees. What impresses me about RUAG is the tangible sense of professional pride. During tours, employees talk about their work with genuine passion – this has an infectious and motivational effect. My highlight at RUAG to date has definitely been the project work within the scope of ELEVATE. I am proud of both the team and the result achieved. As of April 1, 2025, a great deal has been achieved while working under significant time pressure. All employees received a new contract and, in actual fact, not a single mistake was made right through to product completion. I consider this to be a fantastic team performance.

Aircraft and IT – at first glance, these are two completely separate worlds. But this is precisely where my passion lies. As a project manager at RUAG I get to build bridges between aviation and digital solutions. A job that brings up new things every day. What I like best is converting complex requirements from the field of aviation into smart IT solutions. I find it particularly exciting when a project team consisting of the most varied of disciplines come together, and we ensure that an idea develops into a functioning and practical system. At RUAG, I appreciate the combination of technical excellence, team spirit and the sense of purpose. For me, working here means combining innovation with responsibility – and actively collaborating on the launch of the F-35A fighter jets.

As a long-term RUAG employee, I asked myself what motivated me to work within this company. I find RUAG to be a fascinating company. We work within a technological environment and have an important mandate: to provide security relevant services – primarily for the Swiss Armed Forces, but not exclusively. In my role as Head of Key Account Management for the national security network and critical infrastructures, my job also involves delivering our solutions to civilian customers within the security environment. In view of the current geopolitical situation, I am convinced that RUAG will provide our country with the required support in every crisis situation. I think that we are the company that is best prepared for such eventualities and can reliably support our customers in their daily undertakings.

At RUAG I have already been able to successfully complete my apprenticeship as a multi-skilled mechanic and, as of this summer, I am now a vocational trainer myself, with a focus on aircraft maintenance within the EC 635 Maintenance Team. In my job I particularly value the technical challenge of being able to work on a complex flight system. We get to see the result of our work in daily operation, right outside the gates of our maintenance hall. It makes me proud that, with the value retention of the Eurocopter, a tried and tested system is starting into the second half of its service life – and our team can make an important contribution to ensuring this is a successful project.

Hey y'all. I have been working within the Legal Team in Bern for four years. Alongside my diverse duties as a paralegal, since the beginning of 2025 I have also been collaborating on our internal 8vor8 television program, thus discovering new and exciting areas of RUAG. What I value most at RUAG is the sense of togetherness – in our office I therefore enjoy making sure that there is plenty of chocolate to go round, and a motivational quote on our notice board.
