RUAG apprentices get involved in Simmental

During the 2025 vocational training week, second-year apprentices put their heart and soul into a team effort in Simmental. They actively contributed to environmental protection and nature conservation through a wide range of social projects, gaining valuable practical experience in the process. The week was accompanied by exciting activities, professional exchanges, and targeted further training.

During the 2025 vocational training week, second-year apprentices showed great commitment to the environment and community. In Lenk in the Simmental valley, they carried out various social projects focusing on environmental protection and nature conservation, gaining valuable practical experience in the process.
The apprentices worked on repairing hiking trails, cleaning streams and maintaining roadsides, among other things.

The activities were all about sustainability, initiative, and teamwork. Outside of work, a fun program opened up new perspectives: a hike to the source of the Simme river, the "Sibe Brünne", a visit to the Rega base, and a tour of the St. Stephan Museum rounded out the week.

In addition, all participants successfully completed the internal Lean Management Basic Training course, which was conducted by experienced RUAG employees.

A joint evening event with drinks and dinner provided an opportunity to look back on an eventful week and celebrate what had been achieved.

With its vocational training week, RUAG not only promotes technical and social skills, but also raises awareness of sustainable practices.
